How I Made 57 Sales in 42 Days: The Power of Revenue Stacking

Picture this: You've just hit your first 10K month. The champagne's popped, the celebratory Instagram post is up, and you're riding high on the feeling of "I've made it." But as the confetti settles, you realise something doesn't quite feel right. The pressure to maintain that 10K every single month is crushing. You're working more hours than ever, your creativity is stifled, and that financial freedom you dreamed of? It feels further away than ever.

If this scenario sounds familiar, you're not alone. I've been there, done that.

In this blog, we're going to dive deep into the messy middle of scaling a business - that chaotic period where you're adding more clients, more offers, more team members, and more systems, all in the pursuit of that elusive "scaled" business. But more importantly, we're going to explore a different way of thinking about business growth. A way that prioritises sustainability, alignment, and yes, even joy.

Enter the Stackable Revenue Strategy.

This isn't just another business buzzword. It's a practical, adaptable approach to building a business that supports your life, rather than a life that's constantly bending to support your business. We'll explore:

  1. The pitfalls of traditional scaling models

  2. Why the "one flagship offer" approach often leads to burnout

  3. How to create multiple, complementary revenue streams

  4. The freedom that comes with securing future income

  5. Practical steps to implement your own stackable revenue strategy

Whether you're just starting out, stuck in the messy middle, or looking to restructure an established business, this blog will challenge your assumptions about what business growth should look like.

So, grab a cuppa, get comfy, and let's redefine what success looks like in your business.

It's time to move beyond the 10K month myth and create a business that truly works for you.

1. The Messy Middle: When Scaling Feels Like Chaos

Let's talk about the messy middle. It's that period where you're adding more complexity to your business - more clients, more strategy, more offers, more investment, more team, more systems. It's chaotic, stressful, and often feels like you're just treading water.

I hit this stage when I scaled from 2-3K months to 10K months in about six months. From the outside, it looked incredible. I had a rebrand, momentum was building, and everyone was congratulating me. But behind the scenes? It was a different story.

The reality was that I was scrambling every month to hit that 10K mark. I had about 2-3K in consistent revenue, which meant I had to generate 7-8K from scratch every single month. It felt like climbing a mountain, only to slide back down to the bottom on the 1st of every month.

This constant pressure led to making hasty decisions, taking on clients who weren't the perfect fit, and creating short-term offers just to hit the number. It was exhausting, unsustainable, and frankly, it took all the joy out of running my business.

2. The Problem with the Single Offer Scaling Model

Here's where I went wrong: I followed the "traditional" scaling path. I created an evergreen group program called Bloom, thinking it was the natural next step after one-to-one work. The program was successful in terms of revenue, but it came with some unexpected challenges:

  1. Monthly pressure to fill spots: I set a goal of bringing in five new people each month, which created constant stress.

  2. Constant selling feeling: Every email, every Instagram post, every story felt like it was selling, selling, selling.

  3. Lack of flexibility: The program structure meant I couldn't take time off without feeling guilty or like I was letting people down.

  4. Repetitive content delivery: Teaching the same material every month became monotonous and drained my creative energy.

  5. Guilt during "off" times: Even when I wasn't actively working, I felt guilty for not being available to my students.

The result? I hit my revenue goals but felt burnt out and misaligned. I was climbing a financial mountain every month, only to start from scratch on the 1st. This approach wasn't sustainable, and it certainly wasn't bringing me the freedom I'd dreamed of when I started my business.

3. Rethinking Success: The Birth of the Stackable Revenue Strategy

It was during a particularly stressful period, contemplating how to take time off for Christmas without tanking my revenue, that I realised something had to change. This led to the development of what I now call my stackable revenue strategy.

Here's what it involves:

  1. Multiple Revenue Streams: Instead of relying on one main offer, create various ways for clients to work with you. This could include one-to-one services, group programs, and more.

  2. Scalable Offers: Develop products or services that don't directly tie to your time. This might be a self-paced course, a downloadable resource, or a low-touch group program.

  3. Long-Term Client Relationships: Prioritise clients who commit to longer-term engagements. This could mean 6-month or 1-year contracts for services, or encouraging annual subscriptions for digital products.

  4. Consistent Background Sales: Set up systems (like ad funnels) for ongoing, low-maintenance sales. This ensures a steady trickle of income even when you're not actively selling.

  5. Future Revenue Focus: Structure offers to secure income months in advance. This might mean offering payment plans or pre-selling future products or services.

The result? As of writing this, I have between Β£8,000 to Β£10,000 in revenue secured all the way through to March 2025. That's the power of a stackable revenue strategy.

4. Breaking Down the Stackable Revenue Strategy

Let's look at how this strategy can work in practice:

Revenue Stream Description Scalability Example
One-to-One Training Bespoke client work Limited, but high-value VIP Day or 3-month coaching package
Digital Course Self-paced learning Highly scalable Audience Builder Course
Affiliate Program Others sell your product Scalable with management Partners promoting your course
Licensing Others use your content Highly scalable Course licensed to other coaches
Consultancy Ongoing strategic support Scalable with team support Monthly strategy sessions
Low-Ticket Offers Small, accessible products Highly scalable eBooks or mini-courses

The key is to mix and match these revenue streams based on your strengths, audience needs, and business goals. For instance, you might have a high-ticket one-to-one offer, a mid-priced group program, and a low-cost digital product all running simultaneously.

5. The Freedom of Financial Security

Here's the beautiful thing about a stackable revenue strategy: it gives you choices.

When you know you have a baseline of income secured for months ahead, you can:

  1. Take time off without financial stress: Want to take December off? Go for it. Your business keeps generating income even when you're not actively working.

  2. Launch new offers from a place of creativity, not desperation: When you're not scrambling to hit a number, you can take the time to create offers that truly excite you and serve your audience.

  3. Be selective about who you work with: No more taking on clients who aren't a perfect fit just to hit a revenue goal.

  4. Invest in your business growth confidently: Knowing you have future revenue secured makes it easier to invest in things like team members, better systems, or personal development.

  5. Focus on impact and quality, not just hitting a number: When the pressure's off to hit a specific monthly revenue, you can focus on delivering exceptional value to your clients and customers.

It's about creating a business that supports your life, not the other way around. Imagine knowing that even if you took a month off, you'd still have revenue coming in. That's the peace of mind that a stackable revenue strategy can provide.

6. Implementing Your Own Stackable Revenue Strategy

Ready to create your own stackable revenue strategy? Here are some steps to get started:

🦁 Audit Your Current Offers: What's working? What's draining you? Be honest about which offers align with your strengths and bring you joy.

🦁 Identify Scalable Opportunities: Which offers could you automate or scale? Look for ways to serve more people without directly increasing your workload.

🦁 Diversify Your Revenue Streams: Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Aim for a mix of high-ticket, mid-range, and low-cost offers.

🦁 Focus on Long-Term Client Relationships: How can you encourage longer commitments? Consider offering discounts for longer-term packages or creating a VIP tier for your most committed clients.

🦁 Set Up Consistent Background Sales: Consider ad funnels or evergreen promotions for your digital products. This creates a steady stream of income without constant manual effort.

🦁 Plan for Future Revenue: Use payment plans and long-term contracts to secure future income. This gives you more predictability and stability in your business.

Remember, this isn't about growing a massive agency or a huge digital business. It's about finding the right mix that works for you, your energy, and your ideal lifestyle.

Conclusion: Sustainable Growth on Your Terms

The stackable revenue strategy isn't just about making more money. It's about creating a sustainable, enjoyable business that aligns with your values and supports your ideal lifestyle. It's about having the freedom to take December off, or half the summer, without worrying about your income dropping to zero.

Implementing this strategy has transformed my business and my life. I no longer feel like I'm on a constant treadmill, always chasing the next sale. Instead, I have the freedom to be creative, to serve my clients at the highest level, and to take time off when I need it.

Remember, true success isn't about hitting an arbitrary monthly revenue goal. It's about building a business that brings you joy, financial freedom, and the ability to make choices about how you spend your time and energy. That's the real power of a stackable revenue strategy.
